Childbirth Education - Lamaze-Inspired virtual crash course or weekend series; This childbirth education class is perfect for families. It is inspired by Lamaze’s Six Healthy Birth Practices, our comprehensive series, and Lamaze’s Six Healthy Birth Practices to help families understand how to promote a healthy pregnancy, birth, and early postpartum period. Express classes are not as in depth as the weekend course.
Our series also includes specialty topics: Using BRAIN, Breastfeeding 101, Comfort Measures Basics, Labor & Birth Basics, Newborn Care 101,Postpartum Basics, VBAC Basics
Hypnobirthing - Hypnobirthing is a unique method of relaxed, childbirth education, enhanced by self-relaxation techniques. Regardless of the birth plan (natural, epidural, csection), this class can help teach the birthing family how to diminish the anxiety and stress felt before birth while providing techniques to help guide the birthing individual into a more relaxed state. It provides the missing link that allows birthing individuals to use their natural instincts to have a safer, easier, more comfortable birthing experience. Emphasis is placed on pregnancy and childbirth, as well as on pre-birth parenting and the consciousness of the pre-born baby. This is a 5 series weekly class conducted in a comfortable setting. Classes are small and fill quickly.
Breastfeeding 101- This class will explore the many benefits of breastfeeding for you and your baby. Partners or support people are highly encouraged to attend with you. This 2-hour class is designed to increase your breastfeeding confidence and provide information, tips, and techniques to help you to get off to a great start. Topics will include: health benefits of breastfeeding for mom and baby; developing your support system; how breastfeeding works; what to expect the first week postpartum; correct positioning and latch; signs that baby is getting enough; maintaining milk supply; avoiding common issues; and tips for troubleshooting common concerns.
New Beginnings Mothering Circle - New Beginnings Mothering Circles are the coming together of moms and babies on a frequent basis. Each gathering is an opportunity where you can feel safe and supported in each others confidentiality and listening. A place for connection and growth where a woman can share about her child but also about her personal journey too. Topics are set and discussed each week including sleep, self care, relationship changes and more.

Sister to Sister Postpartum Support Group - 1 in 3 women will experience a form of postpartum stress. Urban Baby Beginnings pregnancy and postpartum support groups are for moms who may be feeling anxious, depressed, overwhelmed, or simply wish to be around other moms. Groups are focused on providing support, tools, and information to conquer and get beyond those postpartum hurdles. Support groups will focus on various topics including keeping mom and baby healthy, parenting on a budget, breastfeeding support, and relaxation.
